GO ‘HEAD BABY! (2021)
“Go ‘head baby!” is a video work exploring repetitive polychronisity and solo-unisons by unpacking collective somatic energies, imaginary dancing bodies and vulnerable resilience. The work uses video-editing techniques to bring together different temporalities, exploring what does it mean to dance alone-together in times where shared spaces of dancing in big groups are considered problematic, dangerous or even illegal due to the pandemic. It uses the practice of headbanging as a point of recognition and the beat of the music as a shared agreement for a group-formation system to be emerged. “Go ‘head baby!” was created in the frame of “Parken ist Bewegung Festival” and premiered at Kunstraum Digital.
